Today I would like to share with you this bakery called "By The Way". It is a small gluten-free and dairy free bakery with one of their location being in the Upper East side of Manhattan. Finding a bakery that offers baked goods that are both dairy-free and gluten-free is rare; oftentimes, you will find one or the other. By The Way offers a variety of desserts that are great for those of us with a sweet tooth and cannot tolerate gluten nor dairy. I have yet to try all that they have to offer but I plan to eventually do so :). I have tried some of their cakes and they are very moist and tasteful. I have tried the sour cherry coffee cake with the cherri jam, the blueberry almond coffee cake, the apple mini cake and the banana loaf cake with added frosting. They are all delicious to say the least!! My favorite by far is the sour cherry coffee cake. The only thing that I have to warn you about is that their desserts might be too sweet for some. For those who love sweets, this place might be the ideal place for you, but for the rest of us who don't like that much sweet, consider it as a friendly warning :). But really, the cakes are delicious!
